First newsletter:

Hello everyone! 
We are delighted to be able to deliver this first newsletter and inform you of everything that has already been done, and especially everything that will happen soon!

The Association of France Crocheters opened two months ago. It was a beautiful series of adventures for the founding members, but thanks to their work, the precious help of the House of Associations and the friends of Locksport we were able to move forward. 
First of all, our designer Amoa created a beautiful logo, which you will find on our membership cards. We have also opened a mailing address and bank account to validate your registrations and receive donations.

This is also an opportunity to thank our members for the financial and material support. Thanks to you and our other partners, we were able to collect a hundred padlocks, cylinders and other toys, made available to you during the meetings. Similarly, our partner OFC has fully associated with the ACF since it offers a 20% discount on a selection of equipment for our members. Another good news for those who do not yet have their picking kit. 
The solidarity does not stop there since La Ressourcerie lends us one of their rooms in Paris. Their generosity came at the right time, so we were able to organize our first open day much faster than we could have imagined!

Open House:

So we met for the first time on Thursday, May 19. It was an evening rich in meetings, beyond all our expectations since we were more than thirty at the peak of the event. A lot of good humor, laughter, mutual aid and especially concentration to overcome the most recalcitrant cylinders. 
It was an opportunity to promote the association, introduce crocheting to the curious, and recruit new members. To date, there are about ten of us, and we are hopeful that this number will increase as meetings and word of mouth increase.

So what’s beautiful to come?
We are already able to inform you of our presence at the Nuit du Hack, on July 2nd. If you wish to join us, please note that members benefit from a discount on the entrance ticket. 
We are also working on opening new venues outside Paris. Moreover, I am told in the headset that our friends in the North will soon have a meeting place at their disposal. 
For the more technical aspects, the website will get a makeover: new organization, new colors and especially a member party worthy of the name!

Because after all, it is thanks to you, our members, that we have the courage and the desire to continue to offer you meetings. Crocheting is our passion, we might as well share it!
